A Closer Look into the DreamCloud Which Dreamcloud Jean

The DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress is a standout among luxury hybrid beds. While it’s built from the same quality of materials as anyone else, it’s priced comparatively less. Its comfort level is advertised to be near the medium firm range, though leaning a bit slightly firm. It’s practically within the range an average person may look forward to sleeping on, but it could also be a concern for those who may not be built for that.

The DreamCloud Hybrid has a profile of 14 inches. This hybrid design allows for more comfort and support. Its overall construction, which we’ll discuss later, allows people with limited budgets the opportunity to upgrade to a better model than their old one.

DreamCloud Hybrid, the flagship product of DreamCloud USA, is a US-based sleep specialist brand. It offers its customers a luxurious-grade but valuable bedroom experience. Apart from offering them a wide variety of bedding sets, pillows, and bed frames with a lot of designs to choose from, the firm also sells two more premium mattresses, the DreamCloud Premier and the DreamCloud Premium Rest.

Although we’re only going to focus on the entry-level-type DreamCloud here, it’s worth noting that both of those models are made of more expensive material, therefore elevating their comfort levels and price range. We are not going to discourage you from purchasing the Original model. However, we will show later in this review that it can provide the same luxurious feel and cost-effectiveness as the other mattresses.

How Does the General Public Feel About DreamCloud?

As of this writing, the DreamCloud mattress and its sister models have received over 10,000 reviews. Many of these reviews are extremely positive. They range from how great it was to get a good night’s sleep to how much it is worth the price.

It may be unique enough to win hearts, but we can’t ignore the criticisms it has faced. Some sleepers have expressed dissatisfaction with the DreamCloud Hybrid, claiming it was too soft and too firm. Many shared the pain they felt from not being able to sleep on it.

Any reaction that comes from using this product for a long period may yield mixed results since these can vary from person to person. How much a sleeper weighs, how old they are, which climate they live in, and what type of position they prefer whenever they rest are among the major factors that will contribute to what they ultimately feel about this product. With that in mind, we can’t fully guarantee that the DreamCloud Hybrid may suit all sleep types. However, what we are sure of is that it may be an ideal choice for many who just want overall comfort in their sleep.

Who Should Use the DreamCloud?

  • For those with a strict back, this mattress is ideal in providing ample comfort and spinal alignment.
  • People who prefer sleeping on a medium yet firmer mattress
  • Hot sleepers – The DreamCloud Hybrid is strategically designed with air pockets and gel infusion, a powerful combination that will keep you cool all night.
  • People who are interested in upgrading to a luxury mattress at an affordable price
  • Active couples or partners – Those who share the model with their partners can take advantage of its remarkable ease of movement.
  • Senior citizens – A majority of this age group may suffer varying degrees of chronic pain, especially back pain, and the DreamCloud Hybrid may be their best bet in serving their needs

Is there anyone who wouldn’t like this mattress?

  • Side sleepers who are strict – Lightweight sleepers might find the bed’s surface more comfortable to lie on. Heavy sleepers, however, may sink more easily, causing pressure points to form.
  • Heavyweight sleepers – Although this mattress might be able to support most body types, it may not have enough weight to support the heavier individuals.
  • Folks who prefer a mattress with memory foam – The DreamCloud mattress may have a memory foam layer, but it may not provide what memory foam fans are exactly looking for: a soft, sinking feeling they get when they lie in bed

Test the DreamCloud’s Firmness & Feel

If you are looking for a mattress, the first thing you should check is its firmness. It can make it easy to decide whether it is too firm or soft, or whether you are tempted to buy it. Although the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress claims a comfort level of 6.5/10 on the firmness scale for its mattress, how accurate is that claim? To answer this, we tested out its overall firmness and feel to see for ourselves if DreamCloud is true to its word with its flagship mattress. Which Dreamcloud Jean

Four volunteers were sent from three weight groups to try out the DreamCloud Hybrid. They were placed in various sleeping positions for a two-week period. Two of them represent the lightweight (130 lbs below) and heavyweight (230 lbs above) sleepers, respectively, while the rest of the team represents the average group (130-230 lbs), although one weighs 155 lbs and the other is close to 225 lbs.

Based on the data we collected over the past 14 days, it seems that most could agree that this mattress has the potential to accommodate a sizable range of positions and body weights but not exactly all of them. If we could rank the DreamCloud Hybrid, we’d give it a solid 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale – medium firm, for sure. It is soft enough to feel comfortable and supportive enough to mold to the body in different positions. Plus, it’s worth noting that two of the three volunteers found the mattress to receive comfort instantly upon contact, while the other admittedly took them a few days to adjust.

How Does It Feel in Different Sleeping Positions?

Flat Back Sleeping

We’ve found the DreamCloud Hybrid to be a great bed for back sleepers of all weight types. According to what we have gathered from volunteers, there was no issue with the firmness of the DreamCloud Hybrid. Its construction is flexible enough to support the spine and provide adequate support. This one may be a good choice for light-weight sleepers. Not only should it feel supportive enough, but the top layers should allow them to lay on top as comfortable as possible.

Average-weighted individuals may like the DreamCloud Hybrid best as it should give them the perfect balance of relief and hold. Their hips, in particular, should sink into the mattress very nicely while the coils underneath support them. Heavyweight sleepers should also feel the same to some extent, but those who weigh around 300lbs or more may not find it suitable since they may sink in too much to the point where pressure is produced. Which Dreamcloud Jean

Flat Stomach Sleeping

The DreamCloud mattress can provide exceptional contouring and spine alignment for most back sleepers. However, it is also suitable for side sleepers. There are some notable exceptions. Reactions are mixed for our average-weighted sleepers – our 155-lb volunteer found the bed to be able to support and align their body quite well. Their 225-lb counterpart observed its top layers to be a bit soft under his hips but was able to experience a decent amount of support and comfort.

The DreamCloud Hybrid may be too soft for heavy people, especially those over 300 lbs. The representative of that group said her hips were sinking into her mattress when she lay on her stomach. It was so uncomfortable she couldn’t sleep in this position. Although stomach sleepers with higher than average weights may have issues with the mattress, lighter people may be able to reap the benefits of this mattress better than others. Considering their build, their hips won’t be able to sink in as much, so they should feel as comfortable on their stomachs as with their backs.

Side Sleeping

Side sleeping on the DreamCloud Hybrid is more common for those who are average in weight than the others. People who weigh 130-190 lbs may find the DreamCloud Hybrid contouring support to be sufficient. However, the pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips won’t be as intense as they should. According to our 155-lb volunteer, the experience was worthwhile as they were able to rest well regardless if they switch to either side or stick to one. For those who weigh 190 lbs onwards, it’s a different story.

Our heavyweight and 225-lb reps both felt that the mattress was uncomfortable to sleep on their sides. Both experienced a lot of sinking in their hips, shoulders and hips. This can lead to pressure points that could cause minor concurrent pains. As heavier individuals may find the DreamCloud Hybrid to be soft under their weight, those who are lesser than 130 pounds may find it a little bit firmer sometimes to be able to sleep properly. This is what our lightweight volunteer can attest: she found it uncomfortable to sleep on one side for long periods of time, but it was quite comfortable when she switched sides. At this rate, minor adjustments are more likely expected.

Examining its Pain Relief Capabilities

While our volunteers had a lot of fun testing the DreamCloud Hybrid’s firmness, it was also possible to assess how effective it is in pain relief. We set up a pressure map over the mattress and asked our volunteers to lie on their stomachs, backs, and sides to determine if there was any pressure difference.

We believe that the DreamCloud Hybrid can provide excellent pressure relief for most sleepers. Most people, except for those who are over 300 lbs, will find comfort and relaxation right away. The bed’s layers, which include the memory foam, are sufficient to support their weight and contour their bodies very well. This results in low pressure throughout the entire body. Minimal pressure points produced when a body meets the mattress means there’s less chance of back pains – this is great news for people with constant back issues, especially senior citizens.

The DreamCloud Hybrid will produce some pressure points in the stomach area, especially along the hips. While light-weight sleepers and those who are average may be able rest comfortably without worrying about pent up pressure, heavy-weight sleepers, particularly those with 300-pound structures, might need to be cautious as excessive sinking could lead to increased pressure points. Which Dreamcloud Jean

When it came to side sleeping, we spotted some significant pressure points on most body types. No matter how much you weigh, it’s likely that laying sideways on the surface of the DreamCloud Hybrid may make you prone to varying degrees of discomfort, and it gets much worse if you’re heavier. For instance, lighter sleepers may not find the mattress comfortable in this position, while heavier sleepers may feel more pain in their hips and shoulders. The only anomaly here is the group of average-weighted sleepers, but that doesn’t mean they’re completely free from the pressure points the DreamCloud mattress may bring to them.

Breaking Down Its Construction

What exactly is the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress made of? The DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress measures 14 inches in height. It is filled with notable qualities that keep you cool and relaxed throughout the night. It’s equipped with exceptional cooling capabilities to keep the body cool and prevent heat buildup, making it a top-performing hybrid model.

Built using high-quality CertiPUR-US-certified foam layers of varying firmnesses with a thin tier of memory foam in between, it’s also backed with a set of strong innerspring coils to hold the body together. To know more about its construction, let’s take a more in-depth look beyond the DreamCloud mattress’s covers.

Layer 1: Cashmere Blend Cover

Cashmere wool is known for its soft touch and luxurious feel. It’s for this reason that DreamCloud chose to incorporate this into the cover of its signature mattress model. The quilt’s cloud-patterned design, which is splayed across the mattress, invites the user to lay down on the bed. The material is breathable and has excellent temperature-regulating characteristics to help cool the sleeper at night.

Layer 2: Contouring Soft foam

Since the mattress cover is quilted, after all, you wouldn’t guess which material is stitched onto until now! Quilted under the cashmere-blend cover, lays a supportive plush soft polyfoam designed to provide ample cushioning and support around the body’s weight. This layer, which is 1 1/2 inches in thickness, gives off a pillow-top feeling that most users will likely feel upon touching the bed.

Layer 3: Layer of Memory Foam

Memory foam has been well-known for its ability to adapt to the body and provide relief from pressure points. In the case of the DreamCloud Hybrid, it is placed conveniently underneath the quilted top layer. It measures one inch and is just right to support the sleeper, but it doesn’t give off a sinking sensation. This material may be notorious for trapping heat, but DreamCloud fixes this by incorporating gel infusion, allowing their body temperature to be cooled down further along with the indented cover.

Layer 4: Layer of Transition Polyfoam

Beneath the memory foam is a two-inch firm polyfoam that serves as a transitional layer between the soft part of the mattress and the base foundation of the coils. It serves two purposes: 1) it conforms the body’s posture and shape to the coils; and 2) it keeps it from sinking further into the mattress, which can be very inconvenient.

Layer 5: Innerspring Coils

The DreamCloud Hybrid’s foundation is made up of an entire system of individually wrapped innerspring coils. Contributing to the total height of the mattress at just 8 1/2 inches, each spring is enrobed with a breathable fiber – this way, it should help maximize the bed’s cooling capabilities, letting more air in and more heat from the body out. While most of the coils can respond to the sleeper’s ever-changing movements well, the perimeters are designed to be strategically fortified using stronger steel, effectively making way for better edge support.

Layer 6: Stability Base Layer

Situated beneath the coil set is an inch-thick layer of high-density standard foam. It acts as a foundation for the mattress and is thick enough to prevent the springs moving, but thin enough to allow airflow. Which Dreamcloud Jean

them to bounce through. You will not exactly feel it since it’s placed well below, but at least you can appreciate that it’s just there to keep it from falling apart.

Layer 7: Shift resistant lower cover

To cap it all off is a tufted cover to store all the layers within the DreamCloud Hybrid safely in place. Although it’s not considered a layer that makes up the bed per se, it’s built for the sole purpose to secure the foundation that holds it. The mattress’s round borders are embellished with tufted decor. It also has four sides handles that are sewn into the side to make it easy to transport.

How Well Did the DreamCloud Perform?

The perfect mattress should adapt to the individual’s needs. Apart from accommodating their body type and preferred sleep position, other pressing factors should be taken into consideration – this includes a plethora of activities, habits, and even the climate that they are usually accustomed to. Within our two-week testing period, we got to run a series of performance tests to see if the DreamCloud Hybrid has what it takes as an integral staple in the bedroom.

Temperature Control

The DreamCloud Hybrid promises to be equipped with excellent cooling abilities, and we couldn’t agree more when we checked the temperature of one of our volunteers through a thermal camera scanner. This is all thanks to its mix of temperature-regulating materials embedded within the mattress: the gel-infused memory foam layer, the breathable cashmere cover, and the coils that encourage more air to pass through.

Individuals living in hot climates or couples may look for a bed that doesn’t trap too much heat for them to end up uncomfortable, and this model could be their best bet.

Motion Transfer

The DreamCloud mattress is made from a combination of materials and functions. It may not absorb all motions but it does a good job. We first noticed that one of our volunteers couldn’t feel the other’s movements changing as much when they became more intense. When it came to small movements, it resulted in a lesser to no sign of disturbance.

The DreamCloud Hybrid’s motion isolation capabilities make it comparable to luxury hybrid beds. Average persons may willingly look past it, but as for any light sleeper with an often restless partner beside them, this model may not be an ideal choice.

Edge Support

DreamCloud Hybrid claims to offer great edge support thanks to reinforced steel coils placed around the edges and perimeter. But how accurate is that claim? When we checked it out by letting out volunteers sit and lie along the edges of the bed, we then found out that it was mostly true, though not entirely. A mattress with exceptional edge support may allow sleepers to take advantage of the surface without fear of falling or sinking.

Our volunteers can attest that the DreamCloud bed’s edges are able to support them well. However, our heavyweight rep stated otherwise. Those who weigh more than 230 lbs may not find this bed as supportive.

Noise

Beds with innerspring coils as their foundation are notorious for making significant squeaking noises, especially coming to terms with intense movement. This is also true for hybrid beds that have springs interspersed between layers of foam.

The DreamCloud Hybrid is an exception – within our two-week testing period, not a single one of our crew noticed any annoying squeaking coming from within the bed. It may have been constructed in a way that makes noise, or how the oil is wrapped up. Which Dreamcloud Jean

Ease of Movement

Ideally, mattresses made with a wide variety of materials should be able to strike a balance between contouring and ease of movement – the DreamCloud model achieves this by making its memory foam layer complimentary with other foam layers, not outshine them, therefore allowing it to conform the body’s shape like a light hug. The coil system underneath the comfort layers should be responsive to movement, which will make navigation easier throughout the surface.

Our team discovered that the bed was easy to move around. It would be fine if you were to perform motion-intensive activities on it.

Sex

The DreamCloud Hybrid is a motion-intensive bed that we believe has a lot of potential. Folks who engage in sex once in a while may surely enjoy its ability to adapt to their movements swiftly. It makes a noticeable difference in noise, so it is possible to have discreet sex.

Being a medium-firm bed, partners who prefer to do one or three positions may not find enough hugging along the surface to keep them at least secure. Regardless, the DreamCloud mattress fits the bill as one of our best beds for sex. Which Dreamcloud Jean

Durability

The DreamCloud Hybrid is durable, thanks to its high-quality materials, certified foam layers, and other features. Based on the many reviews we found, the DreamCloud Hybrid’s overall quality and capabilities could last for not only a few weeks, but even months.

The length of this durability will depend on how frequently the user uses it and if there are any additional people who sleep on it. After a two-week test period, we all agreed that the DreamCloud mattress was durable enough to continue providing comfort. We believe it should remain this way for seven to eight more years. Which Dreamcloud Jean

Unboxing and off-gassing the DreamCloud

The DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress comes packed neatly and compressed in a box. The size of the mattress will determine how heavy it is. The twin is the lightest and Cal King and King are the most heavy. When we unboxed the Queen-sized version to be used for our tests, we noticed that some of our teammates find it quite heavy to carry it alone, so from that point onwards we needed an extra person to help ease the burden.

Other than the mattress, the box also contains a booklet with instructions and a pocket knife. This is especially useful if you don’t already have one. After you have rolled it out of the box onto your bed frame, it will be fully compressed. You should wait between 24-48 hours. Expect a slight off-putting smell because you will be interacting with a brand new mattress.

Models made of synthetic foam layers tend to emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs) collected from manufacturing. Since the DreamCloud Hybrid’s foam layers are all CertiPUR-US-certified, the amount should be much less. It is important to let it sit out so that the smell can dissipate after a few days. To speed this process up, we suggest that you do so in a well-ventilated environment by opening up all the windows and doors in the room.

Available Sizes and Pricing

The DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress is not only a great mattress, but it also has some amazing features. This model sells at an affordable price due to the quality of its foundation and framework, as well as the type of materials it was made.

Plus, if you order it from DreamCloud’s official website, you may get to save plenty of money quite often with seasonal sales and discounts. To make it easier, you will receive a set of bedding including sheets, pillowcases and a mattress protector.

DreamCloud vs. Other Top Mattresses

Want to consider some options? We’ll help you with that! The DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress may be one of the hottest luxury hybrid models in the market, but there are two other competing alternatives out there that deliver the same promise of comfort and are packed with unique aspects that it may not have. Let’s take a closer look at each one! Which Dreamcloud Jean

DreamCloud vs. Saatva

The Similarities: Much like the DreamCloud Hybrid, the original Saatva Classic mattress is a luxury hybrid bed that’s excellent in providing comfort and relief to the sleeper’s back. It is also responsive to movement and bouncy, making it easier for you to navigate the surface.

The Differences: Saatva is a bit more expensive than the DreamCloud Hybrid thanks partly to its construction – its coil system is more intricate, and the organic cotton-covered Euro pillowtop makes up for a more snug feeling. Unlike the latter which has only one, the former gives you more firmness options to cater to many different body types.

DreamCloud vs. Nectar

The Similarities: Both the Nectar Mattress and DreamCloud Hybrid are delivered in a box, so you and your companion will need to set them up on your own. Both are jam-packed with impressive temperature-regulating capabilities, offer year-long sleep trials, and even come from the same parent company, Resident.

The Differences: While the DreamCloud Hybrid is a hybrid bed, Nectar is all-foam, with an extra thick layer of memory foam in between. It can adapt to many sleeping positions, not just the back. It is even recommended for side sleeping.

Our final thoughts: How is the DreamCloud Hybrid mattress holding up so far?

It’s clear that the DreamCloud Hybrid is an excellent luxury hybrid mattress. We have taken a closer look at it and are now fully testing it ourselves.

It can support and accommodate most people’s backs. However, it is not able to alleviate pressure points in some areas. Considering the type of materials used and how it’s cleverly constructed, it’s sure to give folks a well-rounded experience that’s open to versatility – and at a surprisingly affordable price range, too!

The DreamCloud Hybrid’s luxuriously crafted medium-firm surface may be inviting for anyone, but not exactly for everyone. We found that the bed does not have enough to hold well for those who weigh as heavy as 300 lbs, more or less. Regardless, it’s clear that it has what it takes as a welcoming staple for solo sleepers, couples, and even families!

Additionally, you have much less to lose if you decide to purchase it. You’ll be given plenty of exclusive discount rates from DreamCloud’s official website, plus exceptionally responsive customer service teams to assist you along the way. For this and all the other good reasons regarding the DreamCloud Hybrid, there’s no doubt that we’re giving it a resounding 4.5/5 stars. For what it is, it’s surely worth the try… and the purchase!
