A Closer Look into the DreamCloud Dreamcloud Vs Zotto

The DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress stands out among the other luxury hybrid beds of today. It’s made from the same high-quality materials as all other hybrid beds, but it costs comparatively less. Although it is listed as being in the medium firm range, its comfort level is slightly more firm than average. It’s practically within the range an average person may look forward to sleeping on, but it could also be a concern for those who may not be built for that.

The DreamCloud Hybrid has a profile of 14 inches. This hybrid design allows for more comfort and support. Its overall construction, which we’ll discuss later, allows people with limited budgets the opportunity to upgrade to a better model than their old one.

DreamCloud Hybrid, the flagship product of DreamCloud USA, is a US-based sleep specialist brand. It offers its customers a luxurious-grade but valuable bedroom experience. The firm sells DreamCloud Premier and DreamCloud Premium Rest premium mattresses.

Although we’re only going to focus on the entry-level-type DreamCloud here, it’s worth noting that both of those models are made of more expensive material, therefore elevating their comfort levels and price range. We are not going to discourage you from purchasing the Original model. However, we will show later in this review that it can provide the same luxurious feel and cost-effectiveness as the other mattresses.

How Does the General Public Feel About DreamCloud?

As of this writing, the DreamCloud mattress and its sister models have received over 10,000 reviews. Most of these are overwhelmingly positive and can range from how amazing it felt to be able to get a proper night’s rest to how it’s extremely worth the value pricing.

It may be unique enough to win hearts, but we can’t ignore the criticisms it has faced. The sleepers who say aren’t fully satisfied with the DreamCloud Hybrid have complained about how it was too soft or too firm for their liking. Many shared the pain they felt from not being able to sleep on it.

The product can cause a variety of reactions, which may be mixed depending on how long you use it. The main factors that influence how a person feels about the product are their weight, age, climate, and preference for sleeping position. We cannot guarantee that the DreamCloud Hybrid will suit every sleep type. We are certain that the DreamCloud Hybrid may be a good choice for those who want to sleep comfortably.

Who should use the DreamCloud?

  • Strict back sleepers – This mattress is exceptional in its ability to provide ample comfort, spinal alignment, and much-needed pressure relief, especially for those who may have varying signs of back pain
  • People who prefer sleeping on a medium yet firmer mattress
  • Hot sleepers – The DreamCloud Hybrid’s strategically designed with gel infusion and air pockets, a powerful combination guaranteed to keep the individual cool throughout the night
  • People who want to upgrade to a luxurious mattress at a reasonable price
  • Active couples or partners – Those who share the model with their partners can take advantage of its remarkable ease of movement.
  • Senior citizens – The majority of seniors may have varying levels of chronic pain, particularly back pain. The DreamCloud Hybrid may help them to manage their pain.

Is there anyone who wouldn’t like this mattress?

  • Strict side sleepers – Some lightweight sleepers may find the bed’s surface a bit firmer to lay on, while heavier folks are more prone to sinking, therefore causing intense pressure points to form
  • Heavyweight sleepers – Although this mattress might be able to support most body types, it may not have enough weight to support the heavier individuals.
  • Folks who prefer a mattress with memory foam – The DreamCloud mattress may have a memory foam layer, but it may not provide what memory foam fans are exactly looking for: a soft, sinking feeling they get when they lie in bed

Test the DreamCloud’s Firmness & Feel

If you are looking for a mattress, the first thing you should check is its firmness. It can make it easy to decide whether it is too firm or soft, or whether you are tempted to buy it. Although the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress claims a comfort level of 6.5/10 on the firmness scale for its mattress, how accurate is that claim? To answer this, we tested out its overall firmness and feel to see for ourselves if DreamCloud is true to its word with its flagship mattress. Dreamcloud Vs Zotto

We sent in four volunteers – each from three different weight groups – to sleep on the DreamCloud Hybrid in different sleeping positions on a two-week venture. Two of them represent the lightweight (130 lbs below) and heavyweight (230 lbs above) sleepers, respectively, while the rest of the team represents the average group (130-230 lbs), although one weighs 155 lbs and the other is close to 225 lbs.

The data collected over the last 14 days suggests that the majority of people could agree that the mattress can accommodate a wide range of body weights and positions. However, not all. We would give the DreamCloud Hybrid a solid 7/10 on the firmness scale, which is medium firm. It’s plush enough to be comfortable, yet supportive enough to contour the body even in different positions. Plus, it’s worth noting that two of the three volunteers found the mattress to receive comfort instantly upon contact, while the other admittedly took them a few days to adjust.

What does it feel like to sleep in different positions?

Flat Back Sleeping

We’ve found the DreamCloud Hybrid to be a great bed for back sleepers of all weight types. According to what we have gathered from volunteers, there was no issue with the firmness of the DreamCloud Hybrid. Its construction is flexible enough to support the spine and provide adequate support. Lightweight sleepers may enjoy this one – not only should they feel supported enough, but its top layers should also give them the feeling of being able to lie on top as comfortably as possible.

Average-weighted individuals may like the DreamCloud Hybrid best as it should give them the perfect balance of relief and hold. Their hips, in particular, should sink into the mattress very nicely while the coils underneath support them. It should feel similar to heavy sleepers, although those who are 300lbs or more might not feel it. They may also experience pressure if they sink too deeply. Dreamcloud Vs Zotto

Flat Stomach Sleeping

While the DreamCloud mattress may provide most back sleepers with exceptional contouring and spinal alignment, the same can apply to side sleepers, though there are a few notable exceptions. Reactions are mixed for our average-weighted sleepers – our 155-lb volunteer found the bed to be able to support and align their body quite well. Their 225-lb counterpart observed its top layers to be a bit soft under his hips but was able to experience a decent amount of support and comfort.

Heavy folks, particularly those who weigh nearly 300 lbs, may find the DreamCloud Hybrid to be too soft for their liking. The representative of that group said her hips were sinking into her mattress when she lay on her stomach. It was so uncomfortable she couldn’t sleep in this position. While it seems that stomach sleepers who weigh more than average may find issues with this mattress, lightweight individuals may reap the benefits of relief better than other denominations. Because of their body, their hips will not be able sink in as much. Therefore, they should feel just as comfortable on their stomachs than their backs.

Side sleeping

Side sleeping on the DreamCloud Hybrid is more common for those who are average in weight than the others. People who weigh 130-190 lbs may find the DreamCloud Hybrid contouring support to be sufficient. However, the pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips won’t be as intense as they should. Our volunteer of 155 lbs found that the experience was worth it as they were able rest well, regardless of whether they switched sides or stayed on one side. For those who weigh 190 lbs onwards, it’s a different story.

Our heavyweight and 225-lb reps both felt that the mattress was uncomfortable to sleep on their sides. Both have experienced frequent sinking in their hips and shoulders, creating pressure points that may lead to minor concurrent pains. While heavier people may find the DreamCloud Hybrid soft, those less than 130 pounds may find it more firm to allow them to sleep well. Our lightweight volunteer can attest to this: when she tried to rest strictly on one side for a prolonged period, she felt as if the top layers were too firm at times, but when it came to sleeping with her sides interchanged, it turned out to be decently comfortable. Minor adjustments can be expected at this rate.

Its Pain Relief Capabilities

As our volunteers were having a ball with testing the DreamCloud Hybrid’s firmness, we also managed to examine how well it fared in terms of pain relief. We set up a pressure map over the mattress and asked our volunteers to lie on their stomachs, backs, and sides to determine if there was any pressure difference.

Based on what we observed, it’s clear at this point that the DreamCloud Hybrid could create excellent pressure relief along the back for most sleeper groups. Except for the folks who weigh more than 300 lbs, most sleepers may be able to find comfort and relaxation on the spot – the bed’s layers, including the memory foam, are enough to support their weight equally and contour their silhouette very well, resulting in low pressure across the board. Minimal pressure points produced when a body meets the mattress means there’s less chance of back pains – this is great news for people with constant back issues, especially senior citizens.

In terms of sleeping on the stomach, expect the DreamCloud Hybrid to produce a decent yet everchanging share of pressure points, particularly along the hips. While light-weight sleepers and those who are average may be able rest comfortably without worrying about pent up pressure, heavy-weight sleepers, particularly those with 300-pound structures, might need to be cautious as excessive sinking could lead to increased pressure points. Dreamcloud Vs Zotto

When it came to side sleeping, we spotted some significant pressure points on most body types. No matter how much you weigh, it’s likely that laying sideways on the surface of the DreamCloud Hybrid may make you prone to varying degrees of discomfort, and it gets much worse if you’re heavier. Lighter sleepers, for instance, may not enjoy the feel of the mattress in this position for long periods, while heavy-weighted ones may not like it equally as they tend to sink into it more to the point where they feel pain in their shoulders and hips. This is where the DreamCloud mattress can be a little bit of a problem.

Breaking Down Its Construction

What is the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress exactly made of? Standing 14 inches tall, the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress is packed with noteworthy qualities that help keep the sleeper relaxed and cool throughout the night. It’s equipped with exceptional cooling capabilities to keep the body cool and prevent heat buildup, making it a top-performing hybrid model.

Built using high-quality CertiPUR-US-certified foam layers of varying firmnesses with a thin tier of memory foam in between, it’s also backed with a set of strong innerspring coils to hold the body together. To know more about its construction, let’s take a more in-depth look beyond the DreamCloud mattress’s covers.

Layer 1: Cashmere Blend Cover

Cashmere wool is known for its soft touch and luxurious feel. It’s for this reason that DreamCloud chose to incorporate this into the cover of its signature mattress model. The quilt’s cloud-patterned design, which is splayed across the mattress, invites the user to lay down on the bed. The material is breathable and has excellent temperature-regulating characteristics to help cool the sleeper at night.

Layer 2: Contouring Soft foam

Since the mattress cover is quilted, after all, you wouldn’t guess which material is stitched onto until now! Under the cashmere-blend mattress cover is a plush, soft, and supportive polyfoam that provides ample support for the body’s weight. This layer, which is 1 1/2 inches in thickness, gives off a pillow-top feeling that most users will likely feel upon touching the bed.

Layer 3: Memory Foam Layer

Since its inception, memory foam has been widely recognized to adapt and respond to the body’s shape as fluidly as possible and provide much-needed relief from its pressure points. In the case of the DreamCloud Hybrid, it is placed conveniently underneath the quilted top layer. It measures one inch and is just right to support the sleeper, but it doesn’t give off a sinking sensation. Although this material is known for trapping heat well, DreamCloud has incorporated gel infusion to help cool the body.

Layer 4: Polyfoam Transition Layer

A two-inch thick layer of firm polyfoam is found beneath the memory foam. It acts as a transitional layer between soft mattress and base foundation. It serves two purposes: 1) it conforms the body’s posture and shape to the coils; and 2) it keeps it from sinking further into the mattress, which can be very inconvenient.

Layer 5: Innerspring Coils

Speaking of coils, the DreamCloud Hybrid’s very foundation comes in the form of a full system of individually wrapped innerspring coils. Each spring is 8 1/2 inches tall. This contributes to the mattress’s overall height. While most of the coils can respond to the sleeper’s ever-changing movements well, the perimeters are designed to be strategically fortified using stronger steel, effectively making way for better edge support.

Layer 6: Stability Base Layer

Situated beneath the coil set is an inch-thick layer of high-density standard foam. It acts as a foundation for the mattress and is thick enough to prevent the springs moving, but thin enough to allow airflow. Dreamcloud Vs Zotto

They will bounce back. It won’t feel as if it were there, but you will be able to appreciate the fact that it is there to prevent it from falling apart.

Layer 7: Shift-Resistant Lower Cover

To cap it all off is a tufted cover to store all the layers within the DreamCloud Hybrid safely in place. It’s not considered the bed’s main layer, but it serves the sole purpose of protecting the foundation. Its rounded borders are adorned with tufted decor to make the mattress appear luxurious, while its four side handles, with two on each side, are sewn in to make transporting it easier and hassle-less.

What was the DreamCloud’s Performance?

A perfect mattress should be able to adapt to the sleeper’s needs. Apart from accommodating their body type and preferred sleep position, other pressing factors should be taken into consideration – this includes a plethora of activities, habits, and even the climate that they are usually accustomed to. Within our two-week testing period, we got to run a series of performance tests to see if the DreamCloud Hybrid has what it takes as an integral staple in the bedroom.

Temperature Control

The DreamCloud Hybrid promises to be equipped with excellent cooling abilities, and we couldn’t agree more when we checked the temperature of one of our volunteers through a thermal camera scanner. This is all thanks to its mix of temperature-regulating materials embedded within the mattress: the gel-infused memory foam layer, the breathable cashmere cover, and the coils that encourage more air to pass through.

Individuals living in hot climates or couples may look for a bed that doesn’t trap too much heat for them to end up uncomfortable, and this model could be their best bet.

Motion Transfer

The DreamCloud mattress is made from a combination of materials and functions. It may not absorb all motions but it does a good job. We first noticed that one of our volunteers couldn’t feel the other’s movements changing as much when they became more intense. It caused little to no disturbance with small movements.

Similar to most luxury hybrid beds, the DreamCloud Hybrid’s motion isolation capabilities are fairly bearable. Average persons may willingly look past it, but as for any light sleeper with an often restless partner beside them, this model may not be an ideal choice.

Edge Support

DreamCloud Hybrid claims to offer great edge support thanks to reinforced steel coils placed around the edges and perimeter. But how accurate is that claim? When we checked it out by letting out volunteers sit and lie along the edges of the bed, we then found out that it was mostly true, though not entirely. If a mattress has exceptional edge support, sleepers may likely take advantage of its surface without the imminent fear of sinking or falling off it.

While most of our volunteers could attest to the DreamCloud bed’s edges being able to support them decently well, our heavyweight rep said otherwise – those who weigh 230 and beyond may not find this bed supportive enough.

Noise

Beds with innerspring coils as their foundation are notorious for making significant squeaking noises, especially coming to terms with intense movement. The same sort of applies to a couple of hybrid beds with springs sandwiched in between layers of foam.

The DreamCloud Hybrid is an exception – within our two-week testing period, not a single one of our crew noticed any annoying squeaking coming from within the bed. It may have been constructed in a way that makes noise, or how the oil is wrapped up. Dreamcloud Vs Zotto

Ease of Movement

Ideally, mattresses made with a wide variety of materials should be able to strike a balance between contouring and ease of movement – the DreamCloud model achieves this by making its memory foam layer complimentary with other foam layers, not outshine them, therefore allowing it to conform the body’s shape like a light hug. Meanwhile, the coil system beneath the comfort layers should respond to movements quite well, resulting in easier navigation throughout the surface.

As our team tried to move around the bed, we spotted right away that it wasn’t entirely difficult to switch from one side of the surface to another. It would be fine if you were to perform motion-intensive activities on it.

Sex

The DreamCloud Hybrid is a motion-intensive bed that we believe has a lot of potential. Folks who engage in sex once in a while may surely enjoy its ability to adapt to their movements swiftly. The fact that it makes noticeably less noise than other hybrid beds also makes it likely possible for them to engage discreetly.

The medium-firm mattress may not be suitable for partners who prefer to sleep in one or more positions. The DreamCloud mattress is one of the best beds for sex. Dreamcloud Vs Zotto

Durability

As far as durability is concerned, the DreamCloud Hybrid, as we said before, is composed of high-quality materials and certified layers of foam. Based on the many reviews we found, the DreamCloud Hybrid’s overall quality and capabilities could last for not only a few weeks, but even months.

The length of this durability will depend on how frequently the user uses it and if there are any additional people who sleep on it. After a two-week test period, we all agreed that the DreamCloud mattress was durable enough to continue providing comfort. That being said, we believe that it should stay this way for at least seven to eight years. Dreamcloud Vs Zotto

Unboxing and Off-Gassing the DreamCloud

The DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress comes packed neatly and compressed in a box. The size of the mattress will determine how heavy it is. The twin is the lightest and Cal King and King are the most heavy. We noticed that many of our team members found it too heavy to transport alone when we opened the Queen-sized version for our tests. So, we added an additional person to ease the burden.

Apart from the mattress, other contents inside the box include a handy booklet for instructions and a free pocket knife that you may use to open it up from the plastic packaging – that is, especially if you don’t have one of your own. Once you roll it out from the box onto the bed frame where you’ll place it and it’s free from any form of packaging, you will need to wait between 24-48 hours until it’s fully decompressed. Since you’re going to encounter a fresh new mattress in front of you, expect it to emit a slightly off-putting odor.

Models made from synthetic foam layers are more likely to emit volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), which can be collected during manufacturing. Since the DreamCloud Hybrid’s foam layers are all CertiPUR-US-certified, the amount should be much less. It is important to let it sit out so that the smell can dissipate after a few days. To speed this process up, we suggest that you do so in a well-ventilated environment by opening up all the windows and doors in the room.

Available Sizes and Pricing

Stellar accommodations aside, one thing that the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress arguably shines lies in how it’s priced. Factoring in the kind of materials used in its inception and the remarkable quality of its framework and foundation, it’s no wonder that this model is sold at a range of competitive yet affordable prices.

Plus, if you order it from DreamCloud’s official website, you may get to save plenty of money quite often with seasonal sales and discounts. To make it easier, you will receive a set of bedding including sheets, pillowcases and a mattress protector.

The DreamCloud Hybrid is currently sold in six standard sizes, with original prices starting from $799 onwards. For more information, including pricing, dimensions and weight, please see the table below.

DreamCloud vs. other top mattresses

You want to look at other options? We’ll help you with that! Although the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress is the most popular luxury hybrid model on the market, there are two alternatives that offer the same comfort and have unique features that it does not. Let’s take a look at each of them! Dreamcloud Vs Zotto

DreamCloud vs. Saatva

The Similarities: Much like the DreamCloud Hybrid, the original Saatva Classic mattress is a luxury hybrid bed that’s excellent in providing comfort and relief to the sleeper’s back. It is also responsive to movement and bouncy, making it easier for you to navigate the surface.

The differences: Saatva costs a little more than DreamCloud Hybrid due to its more complex coil system and Euro-coated cotton pillowtop. Unlike the latter which has only one, the former gives you more firmness options to cater to many different body types.

DreamCloud vs. Nectar

Similarities: The DreamCloud Hybrid and Nectar Mattress are both delivered in a box. You and your companion will have to put them together. Both are jam-packed with impressive temperature-regulating capabilities, offer year-long sleep trials, and even come from the same parent company, Resident.

The differences: The DreamCloud Hybrid bed is a hybrid, while Nectar is an all-foam mattress with a thick layer of memory foam between. It can adapt to many sleeping positions, not just the back. Many even find it to be best suited for strict side sleeping.

Our Final Thoughts: How Well is the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress Holding Up So Far?

From taking a close look at what it is to fully testing it out for ourselves, it’s evident by now that the DreamCloud Hybrid is brimming with potential as a suitable luxury hybrid mattress for any bedroom and, to some extent, any occasion.

It can support and accommodate most people’s backs. However, it is not able to alleviate pressure points in some areas. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for a versatile and well-constructed experience.

The DreamCloud Hybrid’s luxuriously crafted medium-firm surface may be inviting for anyone, but not exactly for everyone. We found that the bed does not have enough to hold well for those who weigh as heavy as 300 lbs, more or less. It’s evident that the bed is a welcome staple for couples and single sleepers alike.

You also have less to lose if it’s your decision to buy it. DreamCloud offers a variety of discounts and has a responsive customer support team to help you. For this and all the other good reasons regarding the DreamCloud Hybrid, there’s no doubt that we’re giving it a resounding 4.5/5 stars. It’s definitely worth the effort… and the purchase! FAQ Dreamcloud Vs Zotto

What is DreamCloud’s warranty period? And how does it work?

DreamCloud offers its customers a lifetime warranty period in which the company will shoulder the responsibility of replacing or repairing its mattress should it ever sustain significant damage years after purchase, completely free of charge. This can be utilized if the bed slowly compresses and forms impressions at least 1.5 inches deep, sustains material flaws, or comes with manufacturing defects immediately upon purchase.

DreamCloud offers a lifetime warranty on all purchases made through its official website.

How long is DreamCloud’s sleep trial?

Authentic DreamCloud mattresses, including its original hybrid model, come with a 365-night Home Trial period. Compared to other mattress specialists that offer shorter 180-night trials, DreamCloud encourages you to familiarize yourself and test the waters with your purchase for a full year, giving you more time to decide if it’s the right fit.

What happens if I return the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress within the sleep trial? And does it apply after it ends?

All of DreamCloud’s available mattress models are eligible for returns within the 365-night sleep trial. Should you ever feel unhappy and decide to return your purchase within the period, its Sleep Concierge team will be more than happy to assist you with what to do with the mattress, on top of being able to give you a full refund. Unfortunately, returns after the trial period end are not possible. Also, you won’t be eligible to receive a refund.

Where does the DreamCloud Hybrid usually ship to?

This applies to all orders made through the official webstore. The DreamCloud Hybrid and its other models are sent to you completely free of cost – provided that you reside within the contingent U.S. Additional $150 will be charged for mattresses shipped to Alaska or Hawai’i.

DreamCloud does not ship its products from the website to U.S. territories like Puerto Rico and Guam and other countries beyond the borders. It does have a Amazon.com certified storefront that allows you to ship any product internationally. Dreamcloud Vs Zotto
